CT of the renal mass

  • Published:
Urologic radiology

Abstract

In recent years, computed tomography (CT) has been found to be extremely useful in the diagnosis and management of renal masses. It provides an accurate morphologic picture of the renal mass. The precise contrast resolution makes identification of characteristic attenuation values possible. This review addresses the many uses of CT for evaluation of renal masses. Its impact on the diagnostic process and management is also addressed.
