The striated nephrogram in acute pyelonephritis

Abstract

A patient with acute pyelonephritis demonstrating a striated nephrogram pattern on intravenous urography is described. The possible pathophysiology of this radiographic finding in acute pyelonephritis, and other clinical entities in which it may be found, is discussed.
