On the existence of coherent rotational states in nuclei

Summary

The contribution of the β-vibrational-band coupling in the structure of the coherent rotational states (CRS) formed in heavyion collisions is analysed. It is shown that the coherence does not disappear when including virtual excitations in the members of the β-band if the energy of the projectile is not too high (≈75% of the barrier’s height) and if the absorbtive part is a few percent of the real part of the interionic potential.

Si analizza il contributo dell’accoppiamento della banda vibrazionale β nella struttura degli stati rotazionali coerenti (CRS) formati nelle collisioni tra ioni pesanti. Si mostra che la coerenza non scompare quando s’includono le eccitazioni virtuali nei membri della banda β se l’energia del proiettile non è troppo alta (≈75% dell’altezza della barriera) e se la parte assorbitiva è una piccola percentuale della parte reale del potenziale interionico.

Рассматривается влияние β-вибрационной полосы на структуру когерентных ротационных состояний (KPC) образовавшихся в столкновениях с тяжелыми ионами.
