Summary
Activated carbon is shown under the experimental conditions reported here to reduce but not to eliminate chlordane and heptachlor residues in potato and to prevent the appearance on snap beans, beets, cabbage, and tobacco of the phytotoxic symptoms produced by the herbicide, atrazine.
