Summary
We consider a new type of linear interaction in the Klein-Gordon equation. Under minimal substitution the wave equation becomes quadratic in both the momentum and the coordinates, viz. a harmonic oscillator for the squared energies. The eigenfunctions of the system are given and the degeneracy of the energy eigenvalues is discussed.
