Relativistic invariance and the tacit uniqueness postulate in quantum field theory

The relativity principle for quantum fields is dissociated from a uniqueness assumption heretofore always made in quantum field theory. There appear to be no compelling experimental or theoretical reasons to impose this tacit postulate. If it is given, up, time-dependent unitary equivalence of interacting and a free field is no longer forbidden.

Si dissocia il principio di relatività per i campi quantistici dall’ipotesi di unicità sinora sempre fatta nella teoria quantistica dei campi. Risulta che non vi sono ragioni teoriche o sperimentali che costringono ad imporre questo taoito postulato. Se lo si lascia cadere, l’equivalenza unitaria dipendente dal tempo dei campi interagenti e di un campo libero non ö più proibita.
