A general treatment of expanding systems

II. - Application to multiple meson processes

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

The general theory proposed in the previous paper will be applied to multiple meson processes. This is a field theoretical justification of the Landau theory of multiple meson production, based on a hydrodynamical analogy. According to our calculation, mesons enclosed in a narrow disk will expand in the direction perpendicular to the disk and give a sharp angular distribution in favor of recent experimental data.
