The asymptotic properties of the multiperipheral model in the weak coupling approximation

Summary

The asymptotic properties of the multiperipheral model are investigated in the weak coupling limit. The mechanism under which the ladder graphs considered by the model sum up to give the Regge pole behaviour is clearly exhibited and a very simple expression for the Regge trajectory is obtained.

Riassunto

Si studiano le proprietà asintotiche del modello multiperiferico nel limite di piccole costanti d’accoppiamento. Ciò permette di comprendere chiaramente il meccanismo mediante il quale i grafici «a scala» considerati nel modello si sommano a dare l’andamento previsto dalla teoria di Regge. Si ottiene anche una espressione molto semplice per la traiettoria di Regge in tale limite.
