On some properties of the valence bosons

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

The decrease of «from core» detachment energies of a nucleon, or a nucleon pair, as a function of the rank quite generally results not only from Coulomb effects but also from purely nuclear effects. This law of variation is not the same for each fermion of a given boson. Pairing energies are not constant within a given subshell. Valence bosons are made of diametrically opposite fermions occupying the same orbit. Each orbit may be labelled by its rank. These properties can be deduced from experimental mass data.
