Quasi-free effects in the9Be(p, dα)4He reaction at 30 MeV

Summary

The9Be(p, dα)4He reaction has been studied at an incident energy of 30 MeV with a detection geometry allowing for observation of quasi-free effects. Contributions from sequential processes through the lowest states of8Be as well as from the virtual5He(p, d)4He reaction have been found in the bidimensional spectra. From the latter one the FWHM of the impulse distribution of the clusters4He and5He in9Be has been deduced to be (80±5) MeV/c.

La reazione9Be (p, dα)4He è stata studiata a 30 MeV di energia incidente in due differenti configurazioni angolari che permettessero di rivelare l’intervento di un, eventuale processo quasi libero. Negli spettri bidimensionali si sono osservati contributi dei processi sequenziali che avvengono con formazione del nucleo intermedio8Be nello stato fondamentale e nei primi stati eccitati. Inoltre è stata evidenziata la presenza di una struttura proveniente dalla reazione virtuale5He(p, d)4He il cui studio ha permesso di dedurre un valore della larghezza a mezza altezza della distribuzione di impulsi dei cluster4He e5He nel9Be di (80±5) MeV/c.

Исследуется реакция9Be(p, dα)4He при энергии 30 МэВ с геометрией детектирования, поэволяющей наблюдать квазисвободные эффекты. В двумерных спектрах обнаружены вклады последовательных процессов с образованием промежуточного ядра8Be в основном состоянии и в низщих возбужденных состояниях, а также из виртуальной реакции5He(p, d)4He. Из исследования последней реакции можно получить величину ширины импульсного распределения кластеров4He и5He в9Be, которая составляет (80±5) МэВ/с.
