Summary

The radiative corrections to the leptonic decay rateΓ(V → ℓ+) of a neutral vector meson V ≡ ρ0, ω or ϕ are evaluated for ℓ± ≡ e± or μ± including the contributions due to the emission of hard photons. Admitting a radiative energy loss of at least 10% of the total c.m. energy of the decaying system, the radiative corrections are found to reduce Γ(V → e+e) by at most 10% and to hardly changeΓ(V → μ+μ in the range of c.m. energies from 500 to 1500 MeV.
