Radiative corrections to the leptonic-decay modes of the neutral vector mesons ρ⁰, ω, ϕ

The radiative corrections to the leptonic decay rateΓ(V → ℓ⁺ℓ⁻) of a neutral vector meson V ≡ ρ⁰, ω or ϕ are evaluated for ℓ^± ≡ e^± or μ^± including the contributions due to the emission of hard photons. Admitting a radiative energy loss of at least 10% of the total c.m. energy of the decaying system, the radiative corrections are found to reduce Γ(V → e⁺e⁻) by at most 10% and to hardly changeΓ(V → μ⁺μ⁻ in the range of c.m. energies from 500 to 1500 MeV.
