Radiative corrections to inelastic electron scattering with detection in coincidence

Summary

Radiative corrections are calculated for reactions of the type e+A e’+B + C, where the outgoing electron e’ and another particle are detected in coincidence. The result is expressed in the usual form of a fractionnai correction δ to the cross-section of the basic process; δ is given as a function of the kinematics, of the energy width of the detection slit for e’ and of the energy width of the observed spectrum of the other detected particle. Numerical values are specified for two experiments: electro-production of mesons π and electro-disintegration of deuterium.

Si calcolano le correzioni radiative per le reazioni del tipo e+A→ e’+B + C, in cui l’elettrone uscente e’ e un’altra particella sono rivelate in coincidenza. Si esprime il risultato nella forma usuale di una correzione frazionaria δ alla sezione d’urto dei processi fondàmentali; si dà δ in funzione della cinematica, dell’ampiezza di energia della fessura di rivelazione per gli e’ e dell’ampiezza di energia dello spettro osservato dell’altra particella rivelata. Si specificano i valori numerici dei due esperimenti: elettroproduzione di mesoni π ed elettrodisintegrazione del deuterio.
