A measure of the polarization of high-energy p beam from angular correlation in reaction pp → YY

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

Angular correlation measurements in hyperon production by antiprotons in hydrogen yield a possible determination of the polarization of a high-energy p beam, to within the sign of its transverse component. The proposed method provides further a way of determining the transition matrix of the reaction, to within a similar ambiguity in sign.
