Summary
We reinvestigateSU 3 predictions for the most reliable data on resonance decays for both linear and quadratic meson mixing. Contrary to prevalent opinion, we find no convincing evidence ofSU 3 violation although an essential redefinition of the reduced matrix element for decuplet decays is required.

Thex 2 of ∼ 9 quoted for these decuplet (3/2+) decays in the Appendix of ref. (4) and in ref. (6,7) are based on old data with errors in the widths considerably larger than the present values.
