Quasi-particle properties in an electron-hole liquid

Summary

The self-energies of the electrons and holes in an electron-hole liquid are calculated. A modified random-phase approximation is used. The many-body mass renormalizations are found to be small (≈10%) and there is no appreciable renormalization of the band structure anisotropies. The individual self-energies of electrons and holes are almost equal.

Si calcolano le autoenergie di elettroni e buche in un liquido di elettroni e buche con una RPA modificata. La rinormalizzazione di massa dovuta ad effetti a molti corpi è piccola (∼10%) è la rinormalizzazione delle anisotropie di struttura a bande è trascurabile. Le autoenergie individuali di elettroni e buche sono quasi uguali.

Вычисляются собственные энергии электронов и дыров в электрондыирочной жидкости. Исользуется модифицированное приближение случайных фаз. Получается, что многочастичная перенормировка массы является малой величниой (∼10%), и перенрмировка анизотропии зонной структуры оказывается незначительной. Собственне энергии электронов и дырок почи равны.
