Summary
The results of calculations on the expected characteristics of cosmic-ray muons generated by primary nucleons are given for two models of nuclear interactions: the « old » CKP model and the « new » scaling model. The calculations relate to near-vertical muons and muons at 60° to the vertical. The parameters studied include the muon intensity, the density as a function of distance from the axis of the initial primary nucleon and the mean height of origin, all as a function of muon threshold energy and energy of primary nucleon. The results are compared with similar contemporary calculations.
