Hard-Photon emission in an experiment with electron-positron colliding beams

Summary

The radiative corrections to lowest order for the reaction e+e+→μ+ are calculated, taking into account the contribution from high-energy photons emitted by the electrons. The correction to the total α2 cross-section is found to be ∼ 5%, for colliding particles of 250 MeV.

Sono calcolate le correzioni radiative al più basso ordine per il processo e+e+→→μ+, tenendo conto dei contributi dovuti all’ emissione di fotoni di alta energia da parte degli elettroni. La correzione alla sezione d’urto totale di ordine α2 risulta del 5%, quando l’energia delle particelle collidenti è 250 MeV.
