Summary

Landau’s theory of second-order phase transitions for systems with two order parameters is discussed and applied to a meanfield Hamiltonian for an Ising model with bilinear and biquadratic pair interactions. Second-order phase transition temperatures and tricritical points are determined for several spins.

Si discute la teoria di Landau delle transizioni di fase di second’ordine per sistemi con due parametri d’ordine e la si applica a un’hamiltoniana di campo medio per un modello di Ising con interazioni a coppie bilineari e biquadratiche. Si determinano le temperature di transizione di fase di second’ordine e i punti tricritici per molti spin.
