Analysis of strange-particle production in π−p collisions at 1.59 GeV/c

Summary

The production of strange particles in π−p interactions at 1.59 GeV/c has been studied in a hydrogen bubble chamber experiment. Production and decay angular distributions are presented for the Λ0K0 and Σ-K+ final states. The Y *1 (1385) is observed in the YKπ final states. The results are compared with experiments at other incident pion energies.

È stata studiata la produzione di particelle strane nelle interazioni πp a 1.59 GeV/c in una camera a bolle ad idrogeno. Vengono date le distribuzioni angolari di produzione e di decadimento per gli stati finali AoKo e ΣK+ negli stati finali YKπ è stato osservato l'Y *1 (1385). Questi risultati vengono confrontati con quelli ottenuti in altri esperimenti con altre energie del pione incidente.
