Summary
In order to eliminate the scanner’s bias, the well-knownP(α)=G(α)+S(α) probability distribution for small deflections of a particle in nuclear emulsion is used to select events outside the Gaussian limit of multiple scattering. The aim was to find the value of the real part of the nuclear scattering amplitude in elastic interactions of 3 GeV/c antiprotons with nuclei in nuclear emulsion. The experimental results obtained between 0.5 and 7o agree with the optical-model calculations usingR o=1.57 fermi,W=22.4 MeV,V o=2 MeV.

Allo scopo di eliminare l’influenza dell’osservatore, si usa la ben nota distribuzione di probabilitàP(α)=G(α)+S(α) per piccole deflessioni di una particella in emulsione nucleare, per selezionare gli eventi fuori del limite gaussiano dello scattering multiplo. Si vuole trovare il valore della parte reale dell’ampiezza di scattering nucleare delle interazioni elastiche di antiprotoni di 3 GeV/c con i nuclei delle emulsioni nucleari. I risultati sperimentali ottenuti fra 0.5 e 7o concordano con i calcoli del modello ottico se si adottaR 0=1.57 fermi,W=22.4 MeV,V 0=2MeV.
