Abstract
A homogeneous matrix operator combining rotation, coordinate change, slip and distortion has been developed to describe the relationship between the crystallographic directions and plane normals for the UA13 and UA14 crystal lattices. This matrix operator has been based on the Lee-Leighly mechanism, which describes the transformation that occurs in UA13 as it undergoes peritectic reaction to yield UA14. This mechanism produces a UA14 unit cell that exactly duplicates the unit cell found experimentally.
