NOTE

The Nobel Prize awards to Drs. Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini are an affirmation of the growing importance of cell culture in biological research. For this reason, I thought it appropriate that the Nobel Prize addresses be published in the Journal of the Tissue Culture Association. I am happy to report that the Nobel Prize Committee agreed. The publication of these two articles inaugurates a program of timely and high quality mini reviews important to the scientific goals of our society. Requests for information about the programs of the Tissue Culture Association may be addressed to 19110 Montgomery Village Avenue, Suite 300, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 USA.
