Elastic stable intramedullary nailing of femoral shaft fractures in children (“Nancy-nailing”)

Abstract

Surgical Principles

Internal fixation of femoral shaft fractures in children with elastic stable intramedullary alignment after reduction of the fragments using a fracture table. Depending on the age of the patient pins up to 4 mm are chosen. Two small incisions distant from the fracture site while avoiding injury to the distal growth plate.
