Abstract
A high-power transformer-type pulse generator (HPPG) is described. It was designed to generate voltage pulses up to 6 MV and current pulses to 2.5 MA. Its highest pulse power is 2.5 TW. Its comparatively small dimensions and broad pulse-spectrum range combine with low cost to make it a convenient tool for physical research in smaller laboratories.
