Abstract
We report herein the case of a 53-year-old man in whom ectopic gastric mucosa was successfully resected laparoscopically. Radiography and endoscopy showed a welldemarcated and sessile polypoid lesion measuring 2.0 cm in diameter in the second part of the duodenum. Under the diagnosis of a submucosal tumor of the duodenum, a wedge resection of the duodenum was performed laparoscopically. Subsequent histological examination revealed that the tumor was ectopic gastric mucosa of the duodenum.
