Abstract

The papillary glioneuronal tumor (PGNT) was first reported by Komori et al. as a type of mixed neuronalglial tumor. It is characterized by pseudopapillary structures, composed of hyaline vessels and outsheathing glial cells, and by the proliferation of neurocytic cells admixed with ganglioid and ganglion cells. Although it is most common in young adults, it can occur in the elderly. We report a case in a 75-year-old woman, the oldest reported person with PGNT described.
