Das Schilddrüsenadenom Jugendlicher

Summary

This is report on 475 adolescent goitres which were observed during the past 11 years. Amongst them were 19(=4%) carcinomas. The special place which solitary adenomas in adolescents occupy is demonstrated by the fact that there were amongst 46 solitary adenomas 10 carcinomas (=21%). The prognosis is good. Surgical methods and postoperative treatment are discussed. In conclusion the tendency towards relapses amongst adolescent goitre patients (50% according toFuchsig andKummer) is mentioned. It is shown with the aid of animal experiments and clinicla reports that the fourfold ligature, in the form of a trunk ligature of all four thyroidal arteries, has no effect on the incidence of relapses.

Bericht über 475 Strumen bei Jugendlichen, die innerhalb von 11 Jahren zur Beobachtung kamen. Unter diesen waren 19 (=4%) Carcinome. Auf die Sonderstellung der Solitäradenome bei Jugendlichen −10 Carcinome unter 47 Solitäradenomen (=21%) — wird hingewiesen. Die Prognose ist günstig. Operationsmethoden und Nachbehadlung werden besprochen. Abschließend wird auf die Rezidivneigung jugendlicher Strumapatienten −50% nachFuchsig u.Kummer — hingewiesen. An Hand von Tierexperimenten und klinischen Befunden wird gezeigt, daß die vierfache Ligatur — in Form der Stammligatur aller 4 Schilddrüsenarterien-keinen Einfluß auf die Rezidivbildung hat.
