The mutator property ofuvr502 mutation affecting UV sensitivity ofEscherichia coli

  • Published:
Molecular and General Genetics MGG Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

The frequency of direct and reverse mutations at several chromosomal loci increased in UV sensitiveuvr502 strains ofE. coli. Both UV sensitivity and mutator (Mut) phenotype are due to the singleuvr502 mutation. Inuvr +/uvr502 merodiploid the Mut phenotype is recessive.
