Conclusion
En résumé, l'étude deP. coccinellinae permet:
-
Summary
In the South-East of France, several species of aphidiphagous Coccinellids are parasited byAllantonematidae (genusParasitylenchus). This nematode displaying ovoviviparity, can be distinguished from other species by its longitudinal and transversal striae of its cuticle, the non existing of the bursa and the existing of the gubernaculum with the male, and above all by its biology; indeedParasitylenchus coccinellinae lives all its larval stages in the general cavity of the Coccinellids. The young mated female leaves the host and can immediately reinfect an other ladybird. The rate of parasitization can amount till 70% withHarmonia 14 punctata. In reducing considerably the fecondity of the females at the end of the summer,Parasitylenchus coccinellinae represents an important factor by a striking reduction of the population of those Coccinellids which are beginning their hibernation.
