Actually, Erika Cremer was not foreign to this area: she had strong connections with Tyrol from her mother's side. One of her ancestors, Johann Franz Lising von Linsingburg (1666–1742), a pharmacist in the Imperial Court, cultivated the “black art” at the University of Innsbruck. Another of her ancestors, the jurist Franz Xaver Jellenz, who lived at the end of the 18th century, also had strong connections with the University.
