Zusammenfassung
Zur Aufklärung von Staphylokokkenepidemien ist es notwendig, einen Stamm durch konstante Merkmale zu charakterisieren. Die einfachste Möglichkeit bietet das Antibiogramm. Dieses reicht jedoch bei antibioticakongruenten Stämmen nicht aus, den Zusammenhang einer Epidemie wahrscheinlich zu machen. Es werden die Grundlagen der Feststellung der Antigenstruktur pyogener Staphylokokken besprochen und am Beispiel von 100 Stämmen gezeigt, daß eine Aufspaltung in 7 serologische Gruppen möglich war. Nur 5 Eiterstämme konnten nicht erfaßt werden, da sie entweder spontan oder inagglutinabel waren. Innerhalb der antibioticakongruenten Stämme treten ebenfalls verschiedene serologische Gruppen auf. Pyogene Staphylokokken können somit durch 2 Merkmale, das Antibiogramm und die serologische Formel, gekennzeichnet werden. Am Beispiel von 2 Epidemien wird der Wert der Differenzierung von Staphylokokken besprochen.
