Summary and conclusion
1. A case of hiatus hernia has been reported which was visualized most effectively after use of a prone-pressure abdominal pad (Wolf's method).
2. This procedure increases intra-abdominal pressure, without increasing intrathoracic pressure and does not require the active participation of the patient.
