Summary
A 14-year-old male with previously undiagnosed regional enteritis presented with pneumoperitoneum. At surgery there was no identifiable perforation of the bowel and enteritis was confined to the upper jejunum. Reported cases of regional enteritis with pneumoperitoneum are reviewed and possible mechanisms discussed.
