Das Verhalten der Weichteile und der skelettalen Parameter bei kieferorthopädischer Behandlung

Zusammenfassung

An Hand einer retrospektiven Bewertung von 30 herausnehmbaren, ohne Extraktion und mit Erfolg behandelten Angle-Kl.-II/1-Fällen und 17 unbehandelten Fällen gleicher Anomalie wird untersucht, inwieweit Zusammenhänge zwischen Veränderungen der dentoalveolären Strukturen und Weichteilprofiländerungen bestehen. Obwohl bei beiden Gruppen keine Korrelation zwischen Zahnachsenstellung und Lippenprofil festgestellt werden konnte, ergab sich bei der behandelten Gruppe auf Grund der Zunahme des SNB-Winkels eine signifikante Verbesserung des Lippenprofils.

Summary

In order to evaluate changes in the soft tissues and tooth-alveolar structures in Class II, Division 1-malocclusions, 30 patients with this malocclusion were treated with extractions and removable appliances and compared with 17 untreated Class II, Division 1 patients. No correlation was found between the lip profile and the inclination of the long axes of the incisors, but the treated group had a significantly better lip profile and an increase in the SNB angle.

Résumé

Pour rechercher dans quelle mesure il existait une relation entre les modifications des structures dentoalvéolaires et celles des tissus mous, on a entrepris une étude de 30 cas de Classe II/1 traités avec succès et sans extractions par appareillage amovible et de 17 cas non traités avec anomalies semblables. Bien qu'aucune corrélation n'ait pu être mise en évidence entre le profil labial et les axes dentaires, le groupe traité présentait une amélioration notable du profil labial résultant d'une position plus antérieure de la mandibule (augmentation de l'angle SNB).
