Summary

Investigations in the cofactor-fibrinogen system have shown that serotonin and tryptamine, although only in relatively high doses, reduce the antithrombin time prolonged by the action of heparin. Histamine has no such effect on the action of heparin, nor have tyramine and isoamylamine.
