Nach vollkommener Ligatur der Aorta knapp unterhalb der Nierenarterien gelingt es bei der Ratte, durch Abkühlung der Hinterbeine regelmässig eine streng auf die kaudale Körperhälfte beschränkte Dystrophie der Skelettmuskulatur hervorzurufen.
