Abstract

A 71-year-old woman with a history of weight loss and jaw claudication complained of fluctuating vision in her right eye. She was confirmed as having temporal arteritis by an elevated Westergren sedimentation rate and a positive temporal artery biopsy. Fluorescein angiography demonstrated delayed choroidal perfusion of the macular circulation. Her symptoms and angiographic findings were quickly reversed with systemic steroids.
