Helical flow of elastico-viscous liquids

Abstract

A detailed theoretical investigation of a limiting case of helical flow for anOldroyd liquid is presented, largely in graphical form. Discussion of results is deferred until comparison with the flow of real polymer solutions (Part II), has been made.

Dieser Arbeit liegt eine eingehende theoretische Untersuchung eines Grenzfalles der Spiralströmung einerOldroyd-Flüssigkeit zugrunde.

Die Bearbeitung geschieht hauptsächlich auf graphische Weise. Eine Diskussion der Resultate dieser Untersuchung ist bis zum Erhalt eines Vergleiches über das Verhalten einer wirklichen Polymerlösung (Teil II) aufgeschoben.
