Cortinarius speciosissimus toxins — a preliminary report

Summary

Methanolic extracts ofCortinarius speciosissimus yielded a fluorescent compound which was crystallized and shown to be a cyclic polypeptide. The compound, or an analogue, has been found in most members of the genusCortinarius.
