Zusammenfassung
Studien anhand vonDreiding Stereomodellen zeigen, dass die Bildung von helixartigen Sekundärstrukturen durch Basenpaarung und Basenstapelung nicht auf Polynucleotide mit β-ständig angeordneten Basen (Konfiguration wie sie in den Nukleinsäuren gefunden wird) beschränkt ist. Auch Polymere aus lauter α-Nucleotideinheiten scheinen dazu befähigt zu sein.
