Summary

The authors analyse the result of a series of 119 cases with a mean follow-up of 73 months, according to a personal biomechanical and anatomo-pathological classification. The indication for the anterior approach depends on two strategies: cord decompression-anterior column reconstruction for trauma with anterior major injuring vector, stabilization of a posterior reduction for trauma with posterior major injuring vector.
