Schluβbetrachtung und Zusammenfassung

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird versucht, eine Überschau der krankhaften Veränderungen des Wandendokards zu geben. Es unterliegt keinem Zweifel, daß diese Krankheiten eine größere praktische Bedeutung haben als ihnen gemeinhin zugestanden wird. Die Erforschung ihrer Ursachen und wechselseitigen Beziehungen steht noch ganz am Anfang. Nur durch eine fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit zwischen Klinik und pathologischer Anatomie, durch die Verfeinerung der Untersuchungsmethoden und ihre sorgfältige Anwendung in jedem Einzelfalle, wird es möglich sein, weitere Fortschritte auf dem Wege zum Verständnis dieser Krankheiten zu erzielen.
