Summary

Fifty not anesthetized rabbits received endotoxin by the intravenous route. During the late stage of endotoxin shock unspecific changes of the repolarizing phase in the electrocardiogram could be observed. In the early phase of endotoxin shock reversible cardiac arrhythmias occurred. The relations between these early changes and acute cor pulmonale are discussed.
