Summary
Neoplastic erythropoietic cells show stronger activities of non-specific esterase and acid phosphatase respectively than do normal ones. There is a typical arrangement of the activities: Non-specific esterase is locatedperinuclear, whereas acid phosphatase is restricted to a smallparanuclear zone. These enzyme histochemical characteristics are suitable for the identification of infiltrates of neoplastic erythropoietic cells in tissue sections.
