Abstract
A high-frequency method for measuring the complex dielectrical permittivity suitable for measuring the dielectrical permittivity of gas discharges is given. The electrical strength distribution in the interaction space is calculated. Measurements are made in the 3 cm band. Finally, the results of measuring the electron concentration in Ne in a pressure range of 0·6–4·2 mm Hg and at currents of 0–45 mA are given.
