Neighbour-stranger song discrimination in the Chaffinch(Fringilla coelebs)

Zusammenfassung

In 3 Versuchsreihen (playback-Experimente) wurde an 40 territorialen Buchfinken-♂ (Vokales Repertoire, 2–3 Strophentypen) die Reaktion auf die Gesänge von Nachbarn und „Fremden“ gemessen. Es ergaben sich schwache Hinweise auf eine stärkere Reaktion gegenüber Fremdgesang, allerdings waren die Resultate hier weniger klar als von anderen Arten berichtet wird. Wir nehmen an, daß die individuelle Erkennung von Artgenossen bei Arten, deren Gesangsmuster mehrere Strophentypen umfaßt, weniger stark entwickelt ist als bei solchen Arten, deren Repertoire nur einen Strophentyp pro ♂ aufweist.
