Summary
Song behaviour of a male Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) was observed for a whole day during the breeding period. While the total number of song strophes was reduced near the territory border, the percentage of incomplete songs increased in the marginal trees of the territory. Additional data on the vocal behaviour of the chaffinch are given.
