Factor VIII-related antigen in tissues detected by the indirect immunofluorescence technique

Blut Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A rabbit antibody was used to detect factor VIII-related antigen in tissue sections by means of the indirect immunofluorescence technique. Interaction between antibody and antigen was found on vascular intima associated with endothelial cells in all tissues studied. Since there is a close relationship between factor VIII-related antigen and biological factor VIII activity in normal plasma one may draw conclusions about the distribution of factor VIII in tissues.
