Abstract
A theoretical study of the statistical mechanical description of a two-dimensional mixture of hard dumb-bells is made by using the Scaled Particle Theory. The problem of excluded volumes of a pair molecules is solved and the resulting equation of state is compared with Monte Carlo simulation data.
