Extension to velocity dependent gauge transformations

II. Properties of velocity dependent gauge transformations

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik C Particles and Fields

Abstract

Properties of velocity dependent gauge transformations are examined in the electromagnetic theory coupled to a fermion. The velocity dependent gauge transformations exhibit “non-abelian structure” in the Lie ring of the gauge group even for an abelian theory. Under the velocity dependent gauge transformation the variation of the Lagrangian density is a total divergence.
